Europe Trip 2015: Goodbye Belgium!

In order to discover who you are, first learn who everybody else is. You're what's left.

On my last night in Belgium, i couldn't sleep at all. I woke at 4 am, 7 am, and then 9 am.
I got dressed and packed my bags while waiting for my brother to come pick me up so that we could drive back to France.

-What i liked/dislike about my Belgium trip:
  • my family are amazing. It was great to have a place to stay and food to eat everywhere we went.
  • i did not like the fact that i did not get to see much of Brussel or nearby towns.
  • i did not like the fact that i didn't eat any real Belgian food except African food.
  • i like the fact that McDs is the same everywhere with minor differences.
  • i like the fact that Belgium is very diverse. Although diversity does not mean acceptance, it was nice to see others who look like me even though they are looked down upon.
  • although there's many internet care around Belgium, many homes including my family members do not have internet. I was not a fan of this.
  • i like the fact i got to see and hang out with family members that i had not met before.
  • i was not a big fan of having a separate rooms for bathing and toilet. Most toilet rooms did not have a sink also:-(.
  • i was not a big fan of the cold weather during SPRING!
  • i was not a big fan of cement stairs and hard titles, most homes did not have a carpet, which made it extra cold during the night.
  • i was not a big fan of spiral staircases, i almost fell twice (once at my uncle JM and the other at my aunt MJ's places).
  • i like and disliked the way the housing/apartment were built. But my aunt JM explained to me that back in the U.S., we have  a lot of spaces thus bigger apartments, homes, cars, etc.
  • i like the fact i could understand what others were saying because French is my native tongue.
  • i like the fact that their news did not focus only on Belgium but the entire world.
