Back to the Carolinas: June 2020 Highlights
One can have no smaller or greater mastery than mastery of oneself.
-Leonardo da Vinci
I've said this before on this blog but I mean it, 2020 is a bad year. But through it all, it's a blessing to be alive and healthy.
Highlights of the Month of June 2020:
- being surrounded by family
- having my sisters cook for me
- seeing my mom a lot
- after 9 years, I cooked Fufu. It tasted good but it did not look like how my mom or sisters make it.
Lows of the Month of June 2020:
- Grandma Agnes died on June 9th, 2020
- not being employed throughout the month of June
- I gained more weight
- finding out that tons of "non-racists" people put their money together and bailed out the officers responsible for the murder of George Floyd
- The death of Toyin Salau
- No criminal chargers for the officers responsible for the killing of Breonna Taylor
