Back to the Carolinas: 3 Things I did Every day for a month that made me a happier person

Things I did Every day for a month that made me a happier person
You are the only one
who can save yourself
This
post was inspired by this self development email thread that I was a
part of. One day, the question asked was what 3 things did you do
every day for a month that made you a happier person?
I
decided to think about this and actually try it out for a month. I
knew that reading would be one of the three things I would do each
day for a month because it made me happier but I could not figure out
the other two. I brought it up to one of my friends and he suggested
that I write a 50,000 words novel and pray for 30 things/people each
day for 30 days. The novel thing was for my creative side. I have
always complain that I'm not creative so I guess he suggested it
because he wanted me to explore my creative side. Also, it was
perfect because it would help me not live so much in my head but to
put these stories down on paper. The third thing, praying for 30
things/people is for my spiritual/faith side.

So
how did it go?
On the
first day, I was able to read a little and pray for the first person
on my list, my mom. The second day, the only thing I accomplished
was to pray.
On the
third day, I only prayed. I was exhausted to do anything else.
Day
4-7, I prayed, read and did some research for my novel. I also wrote
down ideas. I changed the title of my novel and I'll probably will
change it more in the future. I created a playlist on YouTube called
novel and added videos that talks about writing.
Day
8-11, I finished 3 books, started reading 3 other books. My prayer
life is going good but I haven't written down anything in regard to
my novel.
Day
12-13, I prayed and read a lot. I did not start writing my novel.
Day
14-15, I prayed. I read a little. I did not work on my novel.
Day
16-18, I did little or nothing. I was physically exhausted to do
anything.
Day
19-21, I just prayed.
Day
22, I prayed and wrote down ideas for my novel. I did not read.
Day
23, I prayed, I read and type 100 words for my novel.
Day
24-25, I prayed, I read and wrote down ideas for my novel.
Day
26-30, I prayed.
What
this experience taught me? It taught me that I need to work more on
Self Care and do the things that makes me happy. My mental health is
important and when I'm happy, I'm healthy.
