Back to the Carolinas: Lessons Learned 11 months Back

It's a Beautiful Life

I moved back to the states last November and it's been an interesting experience readjusting to life at home, from the 4 1/2 months job search to using UBER everywhere due to car issues.
Here are several lessons I've learned about life, myself, and people these last 11 months.
  1. When I catch a bad vibe or bad energy about a person, thing or situation that I find myself in, I'm OUT. If I can leave the location, I leave. If it's someone that I'm dealing with, I smile and find my way to the nearest exit. I no longer have time to waste on negativity.
  2. I owe no one an explanation
  3. Sometimes we need external things to keep us motivated in our journey to accomplishing our goals. For me, it has been having a vision board that I made thru Pinterest that I check daily.
  4. Be proactive in your relationships. Reach out to your family and friends.
  5. Don't give up on your loved ones. I don't know why I' am like this but it's easier for me to give up on those I love than strangers. I would fight for a relationship with someone who does not care for me, but for those who would die for me, I don't. I've decided to stop this. I no longer care for those who don't care for me.
