Ivy's Wedding part I-II

Love is the only way

I arrived in Florida around 10 am at West Palm Beach, I went to the rental car place to get my rental car only to find out that I reserved the car at a different location NOT at the airport. I got a taxi over to that location, waited a little then got a car that was half full and does not charge my GPS. After I filled up the car, and started my drive to Ft. Myers. During my ride to Ft. Myers, my GPS died so I had to pull over and turn on my phone GPS. 

I was able to get to Ft. Myers on time but my phone end up dying so I could not find my hotel which led to me missing Ivy's Hen's night Cruise. I ended up stopping at a gas station where I was able to charge my phone for a bit, texted Ivy, and called the company I booked my hotel with. The company confirmed that I got the right contact information about the hotel. After getting off the phone with them, I asked one of the gas station associate for help and he was able to google search the exact location and explain to me in detail how to get there. 

After his help, I was able to find my hotel and check in. While my phone and GPS was charging, I was googling the addresses that I had to be at over the next couple days.

I was able to meet up with the bridal party around 7pm at the resort where the wedding party was staying and the reception will be held.

I arrived a bit early (trying to compensate for missing the cruise) and went up to Ivy's room were I gave her  bridal gift and met one of her other bridesmaid K. We met up with the other bridesmaids at the hotel bar and had shots then proceeded to dinner. Since it was a Hen's night dinner, there was some phallic symbol related straws and candy...sorry Ivy:-)

We had dinner at the Resort Steakhouse and the seafood sampler was amazing. I order the shrimp cargot which was so good and very rich. I broke my no soda rule because I did not want to drink more alcohol since I was driving (my hotel was 30 minutes away from everyone else). After the meal, I drove back to my hotel, showered and went straight to bed.

The next day, I slept in. We had to be at church around 2:30p for the dress rehearsal, I arrived early and took some pictures outsides and a few selfies.

 

After everyone arrived, we went through rehearsal. Afterwards, I drove over to the resort where Ivy and her groom threw buffet style dinner at the beach which was awesome.

after dinner, some of the wedding party helped set up the ballroom for the reception and after we finished, I drove back to my hotel and fell asleep. Tomorrow is the Big Day!!
