Back to the Carolinas: Year 27 & 28 Reflections and Year 29 Celebration

Everyone wants to be understood; no one understand any more.
-Andrew Schultz

In April 2015, I turned 27. I celebrate  it by taking a flight back to the U. S from Paris, France. As soon as I landed, I contacted 2 old college associates who I knew were living in the area. We reconnected and started hanging out, thus ending my self impose isolation period.

            Recap of my 27th year:
  •              hung out with old associates
  •             drove to GA by myself
  •             went back to Naples, Florida
  •             started doing Yoga and Pilates
Then April 2016 came and I turned 28. I celebrate my birthday at work then came home to a cake from my family and more study time for an exam that wont be mentioned.

              Recap of my 28th year:
  • I reached out to a good friend whose friendship I deeply missed. I never got a replied but it was good to get a closure.
  • I let go of more associates. Our relationships was meant for that moment not the present time and not for the future
  • I started running local 5K races. I have done 4 or 5 thus far. I love running and I 'm happy to be back at it again.
  • I have applied for jobs in the countries that I'm interested in.
  • I went back to my home state of New Jersey for the holidays.
  • I got a new car. A unkind person hit my old car and ran. So I had to get a new ride.
Lessons I've learned in my 28th year:
  • It's ok to let go of a dream and make a new one
  • "NO" need no explanation or reason
  • not every battle you face is meant for you to fight
  • good things happens in slow motion
  • when you feel overwhelmed and unable to pray, write down everything that 's bothering you. You will get a different perspective
  • people CAN change
  • it's okay to walk away from a situation when your mental state and peace of mind are threaten
  • Expect nothing but appreciate everything
  • the past serve a purpose but it's not meant for you to live in it
  • not everyone that appears nice to you, think like you or will agree with you
  •  feelings are FAKE news
What I had to relearn in my 28th year:
  •  Faith requires work
  • prayers are important. It's not about others nor your circumstance or feeling. It's about your time with God
  • Although, you are not responsible for everyone's feelings, people are entitled to feel what they feel.
  • it's okay to not be liked or accepted. Everyone has the right to like or not like something or someone. To accept or not accept. Respect that right.
Then April 2017 came and I turned 29. I worked for half a day, then went home. I took a nap for a hour and went running. After my run,  I showered and got ready for my birthday celebration/CL homecoming.

We met  at a Craft Beer place in CLT. It was nice to reconnect with CL and her crew.
we went outside and they sang HBD to me!

After Craft Beer, we visited two interesting places that made me PROUD that I graduated from Law School. The next day we had breakfast at CL friends place. Then we were off to Sycamore Brewing. Every one there looked as if they came out of a modeling photo shoot.

Yummy!
Happy Belated Birthday to Twin, CL and I!
