34 Lessons Learned in 34 years

On the 28th of April, I turned 34. With the exception of my biological clock ticking, I love being in my 30s. I know myself better and I'm stronger than I was in my 20s.

Despite all the blessings that I have been granted, I've experience moments, situations and people who have taught me life lessons that I will utilized. Here they are:

1. I'm not my type type and it's ok;
2. believe in meant to be;
3. stop trying to prove to someone that you two are meant to be;
4. cry in secret;
5. accept where you are in life while working towards what you want in the future;
6. don't wait for anyone;
7. don't get attach to a heart that is not meant to be yours;
8. stay away from being friends after friend-zone;
9. sometimes even a whisper is a prayer;
10. God hears;
11. choose someone who'll choose you over and over again (Grey Anatomy);
12. in every season, life is worth living;
13. have a funeral of your expectation of [those people] - Holly Furtick;
14. don't go back to anyone or anything that broke you;
15. men are black and white;
16. love is like a bubble gum, if you force it it bursts;
17. your soulmate will choose you not keep you around as a friend;
18. don't be afraid of losing anyone, they are not your possession;
19. keep moving forward;
20. if all you can do is go for a walk, it's a progress;
21. don't make the first move on a guy, you'll end up in tears;
22. don't make anyone or anything mini gods in your life;
23. people must earn your story;
24. even when it hurts like hell to breathe, as long as you have breath there's hope;
25. don't be too available for anyone;
26. some people will never change, accept it and move on;
27. sometimes there's no quick fix, you have to bleed it out;
28. don't be anyone messenger;
29. God sends us signs everywhere, pay attention;
30. don't give yourself false hope;
31. it's okay to be rejected;
32. take your losses in private;
33. don't let anyone tell you they don't want you twice; and
34. don't lie to yourself.
