Back to the Carolinas: Things I'm Thankful for this Autumn 2020
The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.
-Confucius
These last several months have been hard for me personally. But despite what's going on internally, I have my faith, my family and my friends to push me through.
Life has given me so many things to be thankful for this season such as:
- Getting back into cooking without having an audience or side commentary;
- Bookstore trips and hot apple cider;
- Long runs before sunset;
- Gospel Music/Christian Music playing throughout the house;
- Mini conversation with my nephews;
- being employed. It's a blessing to HAVE work and to be ABLE to work;
- Brunches and Mimosa;
- Marco Polo with my best friend;
- Walmart weekend trips;
- Smoothie Kings Sundays;
- Reading by the window with a glass of wine;
- dressing up to hanging out with my sisters; and
- the hope of new beginnings. Seasons changes bring hope that after the cold weather passes, a new year comes; a new journey awaits.
