Back to the Carolinas: 10 Lessons Learned at 31

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
-Mahatma Gandhi

On April 28, I turned 32 years old! Due to quarantine, I could not celebrate as I would have like but it was still a good birthday. I'm thankful for every family member that I have, every moment that I have been blessed with and my great friends.

Life is a journey filled with lessons with each experience, new year and obstacles that one faces. Here are a few lessons that I have learned:
  1. You have to have boundaries and ENFORCE it!
  2. Say NO to things that don't feel right
  3. Sometimes you have to let people live with the false narrative or story that they have made up about you. It's not your job to change their mind.
  4. Let no one have power over you.
  5. Don't be ashamed of who you are.
  6. Don't share your deepest goals with everyone.
  7. Stay close to God. Lean on Him in your darkest hour, He will come through in His timing.
  8. Don't give anyone false hope
  9. Do things that make you happy
  10. Don't relied on anyone for anything.
