Back to the Carolinas: My Birthday Month

There are too many people making mistakes for you to f*ck up.
-Lil Duval

April is my birthday month. I turn 31 this year. Life and my perception of things have changed dramatically with each experiences I lived.

This is me at 30
I don't have any tattoos (there's nothing wrong with those who have them) nor do I have a celebrity crush or any crush in real life. The only piercing I have is my ears.
My most proudest moments were graduating undergrad, law school and grad school.
If I won the lottery, I would use it to pay back my school loans, help my family and travel the world.

I love quotes. Its pretty hard for me to have a favorite. But the one quote I rely on constantly is from the Bible, Proverbs 3: 5-6:

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; lean not unto thine own understanding. In all they ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

I have 2 daily purses: a work purse and everyday purse. In my work purse: there is a book, a journal, a notebook, make up bag, planners, keys, umbrella, pencils bag, wallet, coin purse and glasses case. In my every day purse: there is a wallet, coin purse, chap stick, charger, small notebook, tissue paper, and hand sanitizer.

The timeline of my weekday is:
-Monday to Friday--> my day starts at 6:25 am (prayers, shower, get dress and ordering lunch). I leave home around 7:35am. Work from 8am to 6pm. Go home around 6:35-7pm rest and change into work out gear. From 7-8pm I work Out (Yoga, Pilates or stretching and going for a Run). Then shower around 8:30pm. 9-10pm. Then bed by 10:30p-11p
My dream job would be owning my own business. What type of business? I'll keep it a secret for now.
My favorite childhood book is Dr. Seuss's Oh, the Places You'll Go.
One thing that I'm most afraid of now is losing another loved one. I don't think my heart can take another wound.
My worst habit is laziness. If I have nothing planned for a day, I will literally stay in bed all day.
I see myself in 10 years being self employed, happy and traveling.
What I miss the most is living in Naples, Florida and going to the beach every 2 weeks.

My 10 favorite songs at the moment are:

-Do it again by Elevation Worship
       -Jesus Saves by Tasha Cobbs
      -Remembrance by Hillsong United
-Thank You by Jesus Fellowship Centre
-Say the Word by Hillsong United
-O God Forgive Us by For King and Country
-Oceans (where feet my fail) by Hillsong United
-What A Beautiful Name by Hillsong United
    -Anatimiza by Kambua
-My Prayer for You by Alisa Turner
-Touch the Sky by Hillsong United

Currently, I follow two blogs: Alyson Haley and Miriella Marie.
My pet peeves is rudeness and people who lack the ability to self reflect; people who give criticism but cannot take criticism.
Looking back now, the most difficult times in my life thus far were a small part of my childhood prior to my immigration to the U.S, my sophomore/junior year in undergrad, my 3L year in law school, the 4 years period following my law school graduation and last year when I lost my maternal grandmother.
The best physical feature I have is my legs. I'm a runner and it shows in my legs.
Things that makes me feel better when I'm having a bad day are Christian music, quiet time at a Chapel or at Church, going running, and reading a book while drinking a glass of wine.
The last time I've cried was last fall when I got the news about my grandmother's death
Top things on my bucket list are visiting all 50 states and U. S territories and making my dreams come true.
My favorite comfort food at the moment is turkey tails made by older sister.
A weird quirk of mine is I talk to myself.
