Back to the Carolinas: sickness & a few lessons learned
If you don't like the narrative, change it
Last Monday, I woke up with a throbbing headache, stomach ache, cold chills and vomiting. From 5am to 2pm, I spent my time hanging out with the toilet and trash bin. Somehow my mom got wind that I was sick and rushed over to take me to the doctors.
Since my wonderful health insurance company does not mailed out ID card to its customers unless it is specifically requested and I couldn't produce it to the receptionist nor give them my ID number since I was too busying puking.
Anyways, we end up finding out that this doctors' office does not accept my insurance because the company does not pay its doctors. I ended up coughing up $150. After I paid the fee and got examined by the nurses. My urine and blood tests came back negative for virus. The doctor thinks I caught a bug from my nieces (they were sick the day before) and he gave me some medicine for nausea and told me to ride it out.

I was able to finally sleep after my midnight; the vomiting and diarrhea session left me feeling tired, sleepy and exhausted.
Lessons Learned
- It's nice to be around family when you're sick
- No one owe you anything.
- People are capable of anything...evil and good.
